Chapman Motor Rebuilders becomes JEBCO Automotive and consolidated all locations into one main shop located in Cleveland, Ohio.
1972-1982
JEBCO Automotive becomes the Converter Corporation of America specializing in the remanufacture of industrial transmissions and torque converters
1983
Converter Corporation of America becomes Joseph Industries deriving its name from Chapman’s founding partner brothers.
1987
Joseph Industries becomes employee-owned in a retirement buyout from the founder, becoming a division of Fastener Industries.Â
1994-2007
Joseph Industries builds a new 40,000 sq ft facility in Streetsboro, Ohio and shortly after adds a 35,000 sq ft addition to accommodate the growing needs of remanufacturing and warehousing.

Today, Joseph Industries is the largest remanufacturer of industrial torque converters in North America and the remanufacturer of choice for several OEM accounts. Joseph is committed to continuous expansion of remanufactured engines, remanufactured transmissions, remanufactured torque converters, and kit products as new models evolve.
