Why buy from Joseph Industries? We often hear the terms "Remanufactured" and "Rebuilt" used synonymously. A remanufactured engine will give better performance and last longer than a rebuilt engine because they receive a true overhaul to a "like new" condition. Remanufactured is a process by which the engine is serviced to a "like new " condition. The critical components such as pistons, piston rings, main bearings, rod bearings, gaskets, and seals are always replaced with new. All engines are completely disassembled down to the last gasket, bearing, and component. Every component is thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, oil, grease, and rust before it is inspected. Only components that meet or exceed the manufacturer’s specifications will be reused. Included in the remanufacturing process is a thorough inspection of the head and block. The unit is reassembled using all new wear items and all noble components are reconditioned or replaced. This process yields the "like new" performance most customers expect. Remanufacturing is the process Joseph Industries uses! Rebuilding is the process of repairing or fixing to make an engine serviceable or reusable again. In this process the engine is not restored to a "like new" condition. Wearable parts such as pistons, rings, bearings, or even gaskets maybe reused if they are OK or within service limits. Only worn out components get reconditioned or replaced. In this process only the minimum is done to make the engine work again. This type of product is hardly what most customers expect.
