in the aftermarket. We also stock Parts
for brakes, suspension, steering, engines and other

Extensive Product Database includes 65,000 part numbers for many brand applications in
drive lines for lift trucks, light construction equipment (specializing in backhoe loaders, rough terrain forklift trucks,
and telehandlers), and agricultural equipment. Products consist of wear parts and components for internal combustion powered
gasoline, diesel, and LP-Gas vehicles.

Company History
The company's remanufacturing focus
on industrial transmissions and industrial torque
converters began in 1972 as Converter Corporation of
America. Over the years, the product line expanded to
include engines, overhaul kits, and various drive line
replacement parts for material handling and construction
equipment. |

1945 |
Chapman Motor Rebuilders is born on Elderwood
Avenue in East Cleveland, Ohio, the forerunner of Joseph
today, specializing in remanufactured automotive
engines, transmissions, and torque converters.

1950
|
Chapman Motor Rebuilders grows and moves to
larger facilities on Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.
Two locations on Carnegie total 13,000 square feet.

1951 |
Chapman opens first branch office in Akron, Ohio
on Main Street. |

1953 |
Chapman opens second branch on Cleveland Ohio's
west side on Lorain Avenue. |

1954
|
A third branch is opened on East Main Street
in Columbus, Ohio. Chapman continues growth and becomes
JEBCO Automotive. Headquarters are moved to a larger
15,000 square foot facility on Superior Avenue,
Cleveland, Ohio.

JEBCO Automotive grows yet again and moves to
Caine Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.

1972
|
JEBCO Automotive becomes Converter
Corporation of America and begins to specialize in the
remanufacture of industrial transmissions and torque
converters.

1975
|
Converter Corporation of America continues
their growth and moves to a larger facility on Richmond
Road, Bedford Heights, Ohio.

|
1983
|
Converter Corporation of America becomes
Joseph Industries. It's name derived from Chapman's
founding partner brothers. Joseph Industries continues
their expansion into overhaul kits and other drive line
components.

1987
|
Joseph Industries becomes employee owned in a
retirement buyout from the founder.
|
|
1994
|
Joseph Industries builds a new 40,000 square
foot facility in Streetsboro, Ohio to allow for future
expansion and continued growth.

2007 |
Joseph Industries completes 35,000 square
foot building expansion in Streetsboro, Ohio to handle
growing needs of remanufacturing and warehousing.

Present
|
Today, Joseph Industries is the largest
remanufacturer of industrial torque converters in North
America and the remanufacturer of choice for several OEM
accounts. Joseph is committed to continuous expansion of
remanufactured engines, remanufactured transmissions,
remanufactured torque converters, and kit products as
new models evolve.
